Can safety pilot log PIC?
A.
Yes, a safety pilot in the US can log PIC as long as the other pilot is under the hood in VFR conditions. (Far’s 91.109). The safety pilot can not log PIC if they enter IMC unless the safety pilot has a CFII and MEI and is giving dual.

 

*Please Note: Persons that are not enrolled in one of our programs are not allowed to fly in the aircrafts as third party.

** International Students: You must be registered with the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) AND the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). If there is any training that will need to be done, we will send you the M1 application.

*** All American Pilots must now present a valid passport or birth certificate upon arrival. Any additional information needed can be found at the TSA website.

P-1 TIME

Our "Twin-Time" program offers 100 hours of Multi-Engine flying time anywhere within the Continental United States and the Caribbean when scheduling permitting. Flying with the "Aviator" is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Lacking actual IFR? Aviator encourages flights into actual IFR conditions. We operate a fleet of 14 Beechcraft Duchesses, which are fully equipped with Weather Radar, Garmin GNS 430, HSI, Coupled Autopilot, DME, and Intercoms.
